R.HOUSE sustainable timber framed houses are the innovative product of the collaborative partnership between award-winning Skye architects, Rural Design and specialist builders, James MacQueen Building Contractors Ltd, also based on the Isle of Skye.

Together we design and build beautiful contemporary prefabricated homes, our R.HOUSE range, that embody the core principles of sustainability and fit effortlessly into the landscape.

Living and working in the Isle of Skye, off the West Coast of Scotland, means we have a wealth of knowledge and experience in rural builds. We understand the challenges of constructing homes that can withstand the harshest environments and exposure to severe weather while optimising our clients comfort, energy efficiency and air quality.

Our strength is our partnership. With design and construction expertise under one roof, we can offer our clients a complete Turnkey Service, we have control over the whole process from conception to completion, meaning we can give cost clarity.

We take care of everything from planning permission to completion. At the same time, you still have control over design decisions and furnishings for your dream home.
