House Type: R.2.5 – 3/4 bedrooms from £132,000
Details: Exterior Interior Drawings Planning & Building

The R2.5 is a reflection of the traditional ‘Lean-to’ building found throughout the Highlands of Scotland, adding character by using contrasting materials.

With the same floor area as the R.3 but at a reduced cost, the R2.5 offers the benefits of a high ceiling in the living room without the costs of the vaulted ceiling found in R3. The R2.5 also offers the potential of flexibility for future development of an R.2 house type – allowing you to build in stages.

R2.5 is available in the following exterior options: Untreated, Naturally Durable European Larch, Black Stained Larch and White Painted Wet Dash Render

R2.5 – Untreated, Naturally Durable European Larch R2.5 – White Painted Wet Dash Render

The exterior of the R.HOUSE is deliberately restrained and simple. The timber cladding is naturally durable and the vertical board on board construction lends itself to off-site construction. Available in a range of colours the simple form sits well in the landscape.

The roof is durable corrugated sheeting or can be upgraded to natural slate. The windows are Scandinavian high performance pre-finished timber or can be upgraded to an aluminium finish.

The R.HOUSE can be constructed with a rendered finish. This option may have a longer construction period than the timber clad versions – but may better suit certain situations.
